Civil Engineer

(SPI) has focused on providing civil engineering services, program management and construction management services to local government agencies in east and southeast Texas. Our dedicated staff provides specialized expertise and integrated services for the public sector, for both large and small projects.

  • Texas EIT Certification or P.E. license
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 4 years relevant work experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculation and design
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Possess an understanding and knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
  • Experience in water, wastewater, and paving and drainage engineering desired
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with a variety of computer packages including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office
  • Handling all aspects of preparing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects
  • Visiting project sites and meeting with clients as needed
  • Work in a team environment on complex municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, and plan reviews
  • Managing multiple projects efficiently
