Schaumburg & Polk Inc. Announces Acquisition of BW2 Engineers, Inc.

BEAUMONT, TX – Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. (SPI) is pleased to announce the acquisition of civil engineering firm, BW2 Engineers, Inc.

SPI, a full-service civil engineering firm, is trusted by municipalities and clients throughout Texas. The firm has been in business for over 83 years, with offices in Beaumont, Houston, Port Arthur, Terrell and Tyler. With the addition of BW2, SPI has grown to over 60 employees with 20 licensed Professional Engineers.

SPI President Allen R. Ross, P.E. stated, “We’re excited for BW2 to become part of the SPI family and to expand our presence and capabilities within the North Texas area.” Ross went on to say, “Like SPI, BW2 shares the same commitment to quality, client service and successful project completion that our customers have come to expect.”

BW2 specializes in the design of public infrastructure projects and has served the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 2002. During a transition period, the engineering firm will operate as a subsidiary of SPI, retaining their staff, name and logo at this time.

BW2 principals Jim Waldbauer, P.E. and Mike Burge, P.E., will become Vice Presidents of SPI, an integral part of the leadership team.

The BW2 location will be re-named as the SPI Garland location in the near future.
